Association for Environmentally Friendly Carpets (registered association)

The Association for Environmentally Friendly Carpets (GUT e.V.) is a consortium of leading European carpet manufacturers. Its goal is the continuous improvement and further development of environmental standards for carpets. With the PRODIS Product Passport for carpets, GUT has developed a forward-looking product information system that presents detailed information (such as ingredients, environmental friendliness, performance characteristics, and care instructions) for the corresponding textile floor covering simply, quickly, and transparently to the end customer.

Carpets (registered association)

Since 1990, the GUT label has stood for pollutant- and emission-tested textile floor coverings. The tests and the underlying limit values have been continuously adapted to the latest findings. With the GUT label, the European textile floor covering industry sets standards in environmental and consumer protection.

The PRODIS
Product Passport

Following the expansion of the GUT label into a comprehensive product information system (PRODIS), which includes usage information in addition to environmental aspects, the new PRODUCT PASSPORT is the logical further development into a modern, transparent information system for consumers and professional users.

The GUT Product Testing

Learn more about the comprehensive GUT product testing for carpets, consisting of pollutant, emission, and sensory odor tests. Already in production, we rely on the precautionary principle to avoid undesirable substances. Prohibited chemicals and strict limit values for raw materials ensure the highest environmental friendliness.

Indoor Air Quality

The improved insulation of modern buildings reduces air exchange. As people spend more time indoors, indoor air quality (IAQ) affects well-being. Discover how textile floor coverings have a positive impact on IAQ, thereby promoting comfort and health.
